Is there a more marvelous land than Iceland? It is truly otherworldly. We would just find ourselves marveling at the vast starkness of the land and how incredibly rich, yet barren it feels. The black sand beaches, the glaciers, the thermal pools, both salt water and fresh. Our trip to Iceland will always be significant in all of our lives, it’s as if a part of us woke up or was born in Iceland. Generally a place grabs our attention because it is pretty, great museums, glorious architecture, the food. But Iceland is just the land, okay, and a lot of water. And it needs nothing else, its just that good. It was like staring at God’s hands.
* Because I’ve lagged in writing about this trip, most of the tiny details I would have mentioned have escaped me, so I’m going to fill up the post with beautiful pictures of our time, and list the sources of our learning materials at the bottom of the post.
