Four Seasons, Westlake Village

Four Seasons, Westlake Village

Every time we stay at a Four Seasons resort we are blown away. Across the board, the brand remains faithful to their incredible hospitality standards. When you’re staying at luxury properties, it is the expectation that the stay be met with beautiful design, exceptional food, and cleanliness standards of course. And those three things are always met with Four Seasons, but the one thing that they also have that  doesn’t always greet you at other brands is their hospitality standards. Somehow, your interactions with the staff at Four Seasons are always as memorable as all of the other wonderful attributes of each individual property. Four Seasons, Westlake Village is no exception, our time here was so genuinely special. Our son celebrated his 12th birthday here and the staff went way beyond anything we could have imagined to giving him a special day he won’t forget.

Westlake Village

Four Seasons, Westlake Village is located right past Los Angeles, if you live in the city, this would be a great weekend getaway. With an easy drive to Santa Monica and Malibu, (a gorgeous drive through the canyon as your commute) there is plenty to do. A day trip to Santa Barbara is also convienent. We really loved how the location was close to touristy options, but since it is removed from the city, you get to experience a quieter atmosphere and the view of the mountains around you is really serene and peaceful.

Upon first glance, the outside aesthetic makes you think that Four Seasons, Westlake Village is primarily for business travelers, but you’re soon corrected once you enter inside the lobby, the property is indeed for everyone, especially families. The resort has recently undergone a multi million dollar renovation and it is stunning! Around every corner is something beautiful; two gorgeous stairways with grand murals, a stunning indoor pool for families, a large rose garden, a large greenway for sporting activities, and more.

The Rooms

Our room was in my top three favorite hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. We had the  Malibu two bedroom Suite and it was move in ready. Sometimes, I still imagine us selling our things and moving in to this suite. It was so bright with floor to ceiling windows, the views of the mountains were incredibly relaxing to enjoy and the design and colors were so perfect together.

The living area was so gorgeous and the staff brought in welcome treats for the children and then a surprise birthday cake for our eldest. Having the dining area was so perfect!

The second bedroom had two full beds, which was perfect for the kids to share! Since the hotel was newly remodeled it actually felt like we were the very first family to enjoy the space.

The Family Pool

Four Seasons, Westlake Village has the most gorgeous indoor pool for families. There is a little patio for sunbathing outside, but the rest of the space is entirely enclosed with a gorgeous glass roof. Our visit was the beginning of November, so we thoroughly enjoyed that the pool area was nice and cozy for us all. I love that it is a set apart space for families, too. The resort is on their last stage of their remodel and the final thing to be redone is their outside pool, which will be inclusive to families as well. Right now the outside pool is gorgeous and located right off of their spa facility for adults only. You can also rent your own spa suite!

The pool is so bright and airy!

The resort grounds

Four Seasons, Westlake Village is positioned on a huge piece of property. It reminds me of a presidential museums grounds or something of that prestige. There are manicured lawns you can take strolls through and a beautiful rose garden that is worth a skip through 😉 There is a small mini golf area, a giant lawn for soccer or frisbee golf. It is like one giant park, actually and so enjoyable to have that large of a “backyard” at your hotel. After dinner strolls or early morning walks can be taken right out the hotel’s front door.

Four Seasons, Westlake Village is really just incredible and the fact that you can easily access so many popular California attractions and have such easy access to gorgeous nature, really makes this location the perfect area for a family vacation.

Our time at Four Seasons, Westlake Village will be so fondly remembered. We highly recommend adding this stop to your families next visit to Southern California! We can’t wait to go back one day!

Our time here was an incredible gift, and though it was in collaboration with the property, all thoughts are honest and true. A tremendous thank you for everything, Four Seasons, Westlake Village!
