As a wander loving soul, it is often that I do want to return to the places where we go, however; it is not often when we actually follow through. Cape Cod is our annual place, there is just something so special about the Cape. Nothing but charm and shingles and hydrangeas and boutique style resorts that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another time. This past trip we were the lucky guests at New Seabury.
The Club at New Seabury
New Seabury is such a special place, we love how the accommodations are nestled between beautiful Cape residences and so close to the shore. We stayed in the Sea Quarters Condos in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom. It was fun to have a two story condo, especially when you’re traveling with children. Staying in a condo always helps with the ease of imagining what it is like to live there too, which is a real bonus to feeling at home while you’re traveling.
The Cabana Club
From the condo, you’re a short drive back to the Popponesset Inn and the beach. The Club at New Seabury is really a great atmosphere for pool/beach days. At the Cabana Club you pick up your towels upon arrival and there is two pools with a large lounge area. The fact that there is a large shallow pool for children is great! And your older kids can be in the pool right next to it and you can view them both at the same time.
From the pool you can directly walk out to the beach, where lounge chairs are also available for all guests. The ease of not bringing a single beach accessory was my favorite part! I’m all about packing less and this was a huge bonus to have six peoples worth of beach chairs and towels already taken care of for us.
While you’re at the Cabana Club you can get food from Popponesset Inn or drinks from The Beach Bar.
Our very favorite little corner of the property is the Popponesset Marketplace, nothing feels more Cape Cod than this little idyllic area near the Inn. There’s little boutiques and an assortment of eateries and a little grocer that has an old time feel to it. And a really cute little mini gold course for kids. If you go, don’t be confused like we were, Brownie’s serves pizza. ha!
Dining at The Club
For dinner we highly recommend 95 Shore, the sunset over the Nantucket Sound is gorgeous before your meal and the food is delicious! You also get to enjoy the wonderful view of the golf course!
Popponesset Inn is another must have dinner experience while you’re there. You can have a wonderful waterfront view alongside your lobster roll and it is that classic New England backdrop that you really want to experience while visiting the cape.
What to do during your stay
New Seabury has so much to offer, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway this is your place. If you’re looking for an active getaway, this is also your place; with golf, tennis (lessons for kids too) and lots of nature bike trails for you to enjoy.
The town of Mashpee is also a perfect location for site-seeing the cape – here are our favorite things to do that are not that far of a drive from The Club.
That’s not a list of everything you can do, but some of our very favorites that we have enjoyed over the years of traveling down to the cape.
Thank you so much for having us as your guests at The Club! We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. It was the perfect ending to our summer and we are so grateful for the getaway. We seriously can’t wait to visit again one day!
